Organize the Final Week Before Your PMP Exam

Plan your final PMP preparation week around targeted revision, exam logistics, and a realistic routine, using current official booking instructions.

Confirm the practical requirements early

Read the instructions attached to your actual exam appointment and verify identification, arrival or check-in arrangements, permitted materials, and any technical requirements for your chosen delivery method. Requirements can change, so use the testing provider's current instructions rather than an old checklist. Resolve discrepancies while there is time to contact support. Administrative uncertainty should not consume the attention you need for the assessment itself.

Choose consolidation over uncontrolled expansion

Review the patterns in your error log and select a few remaining weaknesses. Avoid adding several new courses or question banks simply because the date is close. Familiarize yourself with concepts you have already studied and explain them without notes. If a major gap remains, assess it honestly against your available time and booking options instead of assuming an intense final weekend will solve everything.

Rehearse a sustainable routine

Use a representative practice period to test concentration, pacing, breaks, and the physical setup relevant to your appointment. Follow the current official format when planning that rehearsal. Notice whether fatigue changes your reasoning. The aim is to remove surprises, not to exhaust yourself with repeated full simulations. Keep normal meals, sleep, and recovery in the plan rather than treating them as time stolen from study.

Prepare a compact review sheet

Summarize concepts that you repeatedly confuse, using your own examples. Include the question-reading routine and a few distinctions such as risk versus issue or scope change versus clarification. A page you can explain is more useful than a pile of notes you cannot prioritize. The scenario-question guide can help structure that review around decisions rather than isolated vocabulary.

Define the final day deliberately

Set a stopping point for study, prepare required items, and confirm the route or technical setup. Keep contingency time for ordinary delays. Do not interpret last-minute anxiety as proof that all previous preparation was ineffective. Use your practice-exam review evidence to judge readiness more calmly. This plan cannot guarantee an exam result, but it can help you arrive with fewer avoidable logistical problems and a clearer method for approaching the questions.
